Tomkins Farms, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has been providing the best quality, organic vegetables to member families in the Northshore and Southshore area for over 9 years. Its founders, Jim Tomkins and his son James, have been working since day one to discover what vegetables work best in our southern Louisiana climate. Today, the CSA grows over 50 different types of vegetables each year, to not only provide its members with an incredible diversity from week to week, but also to encourage them to try new and exciting varieties.

A CSA, which stands for Community Supported Agriculture, is a unique way for you, the customer, to participate in a local, family owned farm. When you join, you are actually purchasing a share of the farm, for that season, and what you get is a share of the produce of that farm. Members share in both the bounty of the harvest as well as the risks should the crops struggle due to poor weather conditions.
